My Client, a recognised local Business  is looking to offer this amazing opportunity to a bright, ambitious Accounts Assistant with already acquired  experience gained within a busy Finance function encompassing Purchase, Sales & Nominal ledger coupled with Bank reconciliations. This role is an excellent platform for your development whilst studying AAT or the early stages of CIMA/ACCA as the role will then develop over time into assisting with the production of Management Accounts.

 

Initial responsibilities will include

  • Processing Bank statements daily
  • Importing transactions via Excel onto various IT systems
  • Processing Purchase invoices with accuracy with correct Nominal codes and VAT element
  • Working with Purchase orders
  • Resolving supplier queries
  • Reconciling accounts
  • Petty cash and daily banking
  • Reporting Bank Balances daily to Directors
  • Payroll involvement
  • Working with Direct Debits
  • Involvement with aspects of producing management accounts including Accruals & Prepayments
  • Ad hoc duties
  • Filing & Scanning your work
  • New Business reporting

 

Due to the nature of the Business, you will be offered a variety of tasks which will grow as you develop your skills and will require –

  • Working experience of Excel to be demonstrated at interview ( copy & paste, move items, navigate your way and use basic tables)
  • Current Accounts/Finance experience
  • Enthusiasm, energy and a desire to learn with a curious nature
  • Strong analytical/questioning mind and great attention to detail
  • Able to multitask
  • Be happy to carry out standard tasks as well as more responsible ones
  • Candidates with only theoretical experience will be rejected
