Location: Horsham, West Sussex

Salary: £25-28,000

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Credit Control to take full responsibility of a busy sales ledger from start to  preparing documentation for solicitor action. As part of a busy Finance function, you will be required to report to both the FC and the Board as well as liaise with external organisations, reporting on outstanding debt outlining issues on a regular basis as part of your accountability for the function.

Tasks and responsibilities will include-

•             Building strong relationships with Clients

•             Dealing with any queries promptly as they arise

•             Controlling the query inbox effectively clearing all actions daily

•             Setting up new accounts

•             Negotiating payment plans

•             Raising paperwork with solicitors for small claims court

•             Regular reporting for any disputed transactions or unallocated cash

•             Creating Sales orders

•             Working with other areas of the Business including Admin and Finance

•             Reconciling Sales Ledger Accounts

•             Ad hoc projects as required by the FC

This is a very responsible role within the Business and requires-

•             Current/recent Credit Control experience demonstrating strong understanding and a working knowledge of the Credit Control process from end to end

•             A methodical and organised person

•             Ability to demonstrate experience of working with complex accounts

•             Strong communication skills at all levels both internally and externally

•             Strong reconciliation skills

•             A proactive nature with the ability to think laterally and quickly

•             Enjoy seeing the bigger picture

•             Experience of other areas including Finance ( Purchase Ledger, Intercompany, Sales invoicing), Administration

This is an urgent requirement currently covered internally but requires an immediate appointment. CVs without visible experience of Credit Control will be rejected as will CVs demonstrating only experience from a call centre environment.
