About the company
My client, a fintech/payment systems firm based in Victoria, Central London are starting 2020 on a high with expansion plans in place. They require an accomplished Finance Assistant from a financial services background who is part qualified (ACCA/AAT/CIMA) with extensive exposure to management accounts. The Finance Manager who leads a team of 6 is looking for an ambitious candidate who wishes to make their mark and rapidly progress. My client is offering full study support and opportunities for shadowing senior staff.
What will you be doing?
Reporting into the Management Accountant you will be working on:
- Transactional duties (purchase & sales ledger)
- Preparing high value multi-currency payments
- Allocating monies received (BACS/Cheques/Cash)
- Resolving all queries from suppliers/clients
- Supporting the Management Accountant with commentary on month end reports
- VAT Returns, Balance Sheets, Profit and Loss Statements, Accruals, Pre-Payments
Essential skills/experience
- Background in financial services/fintech
- Experience across sales and/or purchase ledger
- Managing multiple supplier/client accounts
- Multi-currency experience (GBP/USD/EUR)
- Extensive high value bank reconciliation
- Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables and V-Lookups)
Desirable skills/experience
- 2+ years’ Accounts experience
- Currently studying AAT/ACCA/CIMA
- Accruals and pre-payments experience
